Corina Villanueva completed her B.A. in English at Loyola University Chicago and her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She taught literature and writing at UIC and Tennessee Tech University. She also taught writing at Columbia College Chicago and Loyola University Chicago. She joined the English Department at the University of Illinois in 2017.
