Research Description
Arka is interested in exploring how caste-specific experiences influence cognition, ideas of and on selfhood, and the interface between the material, the political, and the sensory. His doctoral research aims to engage with the philosophical basis of neuroscience as a disciplinary system, and further push this understanding toward a negotiation with intersectional scholarship on caste, its aesthetics, and its political existence before and after the Indian constitutional revolution.
