Research Description
Arka is interested in exploring how caste-specific experiences influence cognition, ideas of and on selfhood, and in-group identity formations. His research aims to engage with the philosophical basis of neuroscience as a disciplinary system, and further push this understanding toward a negotiation with intersectional scholarship on caste, its aesthetics, and its political existence within the Indian democratic imagination.
