English professor Jamie L. Jones was among 15 professors honored by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences with a named scholar or professorship position. These positions recognize contributions to research and education at the University of Illinois.

Jones received the title of Helen Corley Petit Scholar, which recognizes early-career faculty members. Recipients hold the title for one academic year and receive support for their research and teaching.
